YOGA WITH JO
'Harmonising body mind and heart'
Come and discover the health and wellbeing benefits of yoga in a
relaxed and friendly class. Suitable for beginners and
intermediate levels.
Yoga is an ancient, holistic and non competitive system
consisting of various exercises [asanas] which are performed
slowly and meditatively and combined with breath awareness. Yoga
helps tone the muscles without straining them, promotes healthy
blood flow, combacts fatigue, balances the neuro-endocrine
system, stabilizes emotions and reduces stress. Thus the
physical body is flexed and strengthed, the mind is stilled and
the emotions are balanced and calmed.
I am a Registered General Nurse and certified Massage and
Aromatherapist who has been practising Yoga for 10 yrs. My first
yoga classes were taken on the beach in Byron bay, Australia and
I quickly felt yoga's benefits. I spent 3yrs practicing at the
Iyengar Yoga school in Auckland New Zealand, Hatha Yoga in
Dorset and for the last 3 years I have practised Ashtanga yoga
and Core strength yoga with Paul Fox in Somerset. My classes
will reflect the variety of yoga styles that I have experienced
and enjoy.
I cannot over emphasise the holistic benefits and pleasure that
I have gain from yoga and I hope to encourage you to discover
these benefits on your own yoga journey. |
